Welder/Fabricator

Job Responsibilities

  • Carrying out MIG welding and basic fabrication on steel components.
  • Assisting with the repair and modification of plant and construction machinery.
  • Helping to fabricate and fit custom parts and brackets as needed.
  • Supporting workshop fitters and engineers with day-to-day workshop tasks.
  • Learning to read and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety procedures.


Qualifications

  • Around 1-3 years' experience in MIG welding and fabrication.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport (due to location).


Experience

  • A basic understanding of plant or heavy machinery is an advantage (but not essential).
  • Good attention to detail and pride in your work.
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow instructions and take initiative when needed.
