Job Responsibilities
- Carrying out MIG welding and basic fabrication on steel components.
- Assisting with the repair and modification of plant and construction machinery.
- Helping to fabricate and fit custom parts and brackets as needed.
- Supporting workshop fitters and engineers with day-to-day workshop tasks.
- Learning to read and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Around 1-3 years' experience in MIG welding and fabrication.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport (due to location).
Experience
- A basic understanding of plant or heavy machinery is an advantage (but not essential).
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and take initiative when needed.
