A partnership between EDF Energy, Jobcentre Plus and other local support organisations and training providers, Hinkley Point C Jobs Service:

Matches people to available jobs at Hinkley Point C and in the local supply chain.
Arranges and delivers programmes to help people into work.
Invests in and supports dedicated local training centres providing the skills and courses employers need.

How the Hinkley Point C Jobs Service works

Early work with our contract partners is helping identify and plan for the specific jobs that will be created at Hinkley Point C during construction.  The Hinkley Jobs team Hinkley point C Jobs Service uses this information to support local people in their planning and preparation – including training and pre-employment support where possible - for when the roles become available.

Local people have priority access to job opportunities. Hinkley Jobs receives all vacancies 48 hours before they are opened up to wider recruitment channels. The Hinkley Jobs Service team aims to match local candidates from their database to jobs. It is only if potential candidates for roles cannot be identified locally that opportunities will be advertised more widely.

How to register your interest in jobs

Hinkley Point C is a nuclear construction project and will require all potential employees to exhibit the behaviours necessary to work within strict security and health and safety requirements. Before being put forward for any vacancy through the Hinkley Point C Jobs Service, you will need to complete an online application registration form.

Before you start work at Hinkley Point C, you will need to evidence the following criteria:

• 5-year checkable work history. Any gaps in employment must be explained
• Copies of academic or workplace qualifications relevant to your work choice
• Work references
• A completed Data Protection Enrolment Declaration
• Photographic identification
• Proof of address
• Right to work in the UK
• Pass a drug and alcohol test
