Opportunity for a Transport Manager (Sizewell C) working with Tru 7 on the Sizewell C Project,


Main Duties:


Manage the daily transport operation, ensuring scheduled deliveries meet customer SLAs.
Lead and develop a team to oversee real-time operations.
Plan and allocate resources effectively in compliance with Working Time Directive (WTD) and EU driver's hours legislation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to meet company objectives and drive continuous improvement.
Maintain compliance with O Licence administration, vehicle service schedules, and defect reporting.
Work closely with 3rd party driver trainers to facilitate driver improvements and compliance with training needs.
Promote a strong safety culture through hazard evaluations, reporting, and Health & Safety briefings.
Ensure consistent service standards with third-party hauliers and effective cost control management.
Investigate and manage complaints and non-conformance reports within agreed timelines.
Oversee data input and system maintenance for key transport systems
Manage transport capacity efficiently, ensuring resource planning aligns with business demands.
Ensure legal compliance with EC driver's hours rules and Working Time Directive.
Oversee vehicle utilisation, fleet maintenance, and effective downtime management.
Maximise operational efficiencies, including raw material loading and inter-mill movements.
Manage customer complaints, escalate non-conformance reports, and drive service improvements.
Maintain effective communication across transport, operations, and key stakeholders.
