Key tasks and accountabilities
• Promote the Kier culture of Collaborative, Trusted and Focused within the supervisor teams.
• Deliver works in line with Kier Health & Safety Management System and ensure Health & Safety, and Environmental legislation is complied with.
• Ensure that safe systems of work for site activities are always in place, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and welfare are maintained.
• Ensure adequate levels of supervision are in place for operations on site.
• Will be the direct report for General Foremen and others as required.
• Support apprentices and development of foreman.
• Develop strong working relationships with the Construction Manager, Project Managers and Project Director.
• Supporting safety in accordance with assessed construction risks and adherence with the control measures defined in Work Package Plans and Task Briefs.
• Assist the management and SHE teams with project related incidents.
• Ensure regular inspections and checks of working practices are undertaken.
• Ensuring work is carried out to the correct specification and QA standards
• Support the Quality team to ensure a right-first-time approach to quality on site.
• Deliver work packages to agreed programmes and liaise with operational delivery teams.
• Oversee the co-ordination of operatives, subcontractors and suppliers in a planned and controlled manner ensuring efficiency and minimising costs
• Liaise with the client and their advisors and fully understand their needs and expectations.
• Monitor and co-ordinating Subcontractors safety and production performance.
• Attendance at regular meetings to ensure clear communication channels are in place, to report on progress; identify problems encountered and any variations to project both internally and externally
• To comply with company procedural requirements, exercising cost control during delivery of operations
• Ensure plant, equipment, vehicles and materials are efficiently used, monitoring associated quantities and costs, and ensuring Kier procurement/buying/hiring procedures are followed.
• Ensure project risks are identified and managed through effective mitigation measures through the construction period.
• To contribute to the development and maintenance of efficient systems establishing good working practices
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and stakeholders to protect and enhance the company's reputation.

Essential Requirements
• HNC (Construction related) or Level 6 NVQ Construction Site Management, or equivenant.
• Demonstrable knowledge and practical application of site construction activities and management of staff, operatives, and subcontractors within regulated sectors.
• Gold level Supervisors or Black level Managers, Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
• Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
