Job Responsibilities


1. Supervision & Team Management

  • Directly supervise a team of laborers, operatives, and tradesmen on site.
  • Ensure the team follows safety procedures, site rules, and company standards.
  • Allocate tasks and manage daily workflow to meet project schedules.
  • Monitor performance and provide guidance or training as needed.


2. Planning & Coordination

  • Plan daily and weekly work schedules for concrete pouring, slabbing, drainage, and RC framework installation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project specifications.
  • Ensure materials, tools, and machinery are available and in good working condition.


3. Quality Control

  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Identify defects or issues in RC frameworks, slabbing, drainage, or concrete work and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure proper curing, finishing, and placement of concrete and reinforcement.

 

4. Safety Compliance

  • Enforce health and safety regulations on site, including PPE usage, safe lifting, and working at height protocols.
  • Conduct daily site safety briefings and toolbox talks.
  • Report hazards, near misses, or accidents immediately.

 

Cafferty Construction are looking for an experienced Works Supervisor in Leiston IP16.

 

Applicants must have:

  • CSCS Card
  • SSSTS Certificate
  • Minimum 5 years experience as Works Supervisor.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.


Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience as Works Supervisor.
