Tractor Operator (Sizewell C)

Main Duties:


- Operate tractors on active construction sites in a safe and efficient manner.
- Tow trailers carrying materials such as stone, spoil, sand, or construction waste.
- Operate and maintain attachments including:
    - Water bowsers for dust control
    - Flail mowers for vegetation clearance
    - Rollers or low-loaders (if certified)
- Carry out daily inspections and basic maintenance of the tractor and attachments.
- Work with groundworkers, plant operatives, and traffic marshals to coordinate movement.
- Navigate uneven terrain and confined spaces with awareness of surrounding workers and machinery.
- Keep logs of hours operated, loads transported, and maintenance checks.
- Comply with all site-specific safety procedures, including RAMS and traffic management plans.
- Report defects, hazards, or incidents immediately to supervisors.


Requirements:


- Valid Tractor Operator license (e.g. NPORS, CPCS)
- Full UK driving license (required)
- HSE training
- Experienced in operating tractors in a construction or civil engineering setting
- Awareness of construction site risks, traffic management, and safety procedures
- Able to operate with precision and caution in live-site environments
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to identify equipment faults
- Team player with good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
