Opportunity for a Site Systems Engineer (Sizewell C) working with G4S Fire & Security on the Sizewell C Project,


Main Duties:

 

  • Schedule the rolling programme of preventative maintenance of the various security systems
  • Oversight of Inspection and Test Plans, as well as Quality Check Sheets to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Coordinating engineering requirements for project scopes or subcontractors on larger projects.
  • Collaboration with larger project teams to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment and adherence to quality procedures for all personnel and projects
  • Ensuring timely completion of project sections, understanding project setup, team roles, and site/construction details.
  • Developing short-term programs based on project requirements and ensuring their execution.
  • Assist the Design Team in conducting surveys around the site for additional works.
  • Accurate collection and recording of site hardware and software configuration information in conjunction with the CAD Engineer.
  • Maintain site stock (spares) levels, including the direct update of the asset application
  • Assist the site-based Health and Safety Lead and Operations Manager in ensuring audits are carried out for quality procedures.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Manager and Health & Safety Manager, to assist in the production of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and other documentation as required to gain Permits to Work in a timely manner
  • To proactively interact with other site based teams, building a good rapport, ensuring the smooth flow of information to enable the efficient running of the site operation.
  • To work in absolute compliance with all site procedures and embrace the customer's 'Zero Harm to People and the Environment' mantra.
  • Carry out any additional tasks that may be required


Qualifications/Experience:

 

  • An IT, Security or Electrical/Electronic qualification such as a HND or Degree.
  • However, candidates with suitable relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Experience installing and / or servicing a wide product base within the electronic security industry - typically Access Control, CCTV and Intruder alarm systems 
  • Experience managing/supervising an engineering team
