Site Manager (Sizewell C)

Main Duties:


Site Management & Delivery


Oversee daily site operations across civils, structural, and enabling works packages.
Ensure work is delivered in line with programme, drawings, specifications, permits, and safety requirements.
Coordinate labour, plant, materials, logistics, and site access arrangements to keep the workfront productive.
Work closely with engineers and supervisors to solve on-site issues quickly and effectively.


Health, Safety, Environment & Quality


Drive a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with Nuclear Site Licence conditions, CDM Regulations, and SZC procedures.
Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, briefings, and ensure safe systems of work are implemented.
Maintain high standards of environmental protection and sustainability.
Ensure QA documentation, ITPs, NCRs, and sign-offs are completed correctly and on time.


Team Leadership & Coordination


Lead and support a team of supervisors, engineers, and operatives.
Manage subcontractors, ensuring clear communication, productivity, and adherence to required standards.
Work collaboratively with other site teams to manage interfaces and avoid clashes in work areas.


Reporting & Communication


Maintain daily records of progress, delays, risks, and site conditions.
Provide concise updates to the Project Manager/Construction Manager.
Assist with planning look-aheads and updating short-term programmes.
Support commercial processes including early warnings and change management (NEC4).


Requirements:


SMSTS (essential)
CSCS (Manager or Professional level)
First Aid at Work (preferred)
Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor (desirable)
Degree or HNC/HND in Construction/Civil Engineering (advantageous but not essential)
Eligibility for BPSS security vetting
Demonstrable experience in a Site Manager or Senior Site Supervisor role on major civils or infrastructure projects.
Strong background in heavy civils, concrete structures, earthworks, or utilities.
Proven ability to lead teams in a highly regulated or high-risk environment (nuclear, energy, rail, highways, or marine preferred).
Practical understanding of construction sequencing, permits, temporary works, RAMS, and quality processes.
Experience managing subcontractors and multiple workfronts simultaneously.
Familiarity with NEC contracts and project reporting requirements.
Experience on Hinkley Point C, or similar nuclear projects (desirable).
