Site Engineer (Sizewell C)

Main Duties:


Carry out accurate setting out for civil, structural and utilities works, ensuring all works are delivered in line with project specifications and tolerances.
Assist in the development and review of method statements, ITPs and work packs.
Conduct technical checks and inspections, recording results clearly and reporting any deviations.
Maintain and update site records, including as-built drawings, survey data, quality documentation and daily logs.
Support the site management team with coordination of subcontractors, ensuring works proceed safely and efficiently.
Monitor progress against the construction programme and flag any risks or changes.
Ensure all works comply with relevant quality standards, approvals and engineering controls.
Collaborate with designers, planners and temporary works teams to solve technical issues.
Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with project safety procedures and site rules.


Requirements:


Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
CSCS card (Engineering or Technical discipline).
Additional training or certifications in surveying, temporary works, or nuclear site requirements (desirable).
Professional development or membership with ICE/CIOB (advantageous).
Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil, structural, infrastructure or energy projects.
Strong competence in setting out using total stations, GNSS, digital levels and associated survey software.
Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.
Understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works interfaces and site coordination.
Experience producing and maintaining accurate site records, as-builts and quality documentation.
Confident communication skills when liaising with supervisors, subcontractors and designers.
Good IT capability, including CAD tools and standard Microsoft applications.
