The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to support the successful delivery of the Sizewell C Project.


CWA, appointed by the Sizewell C client, brings together three leading delivery contractors - Laing O'Rourke, Bouygues, and Balfour Beatty - to deliver the civils scope including Enabling Earthworks, Main Civil Works, and Marine and Tunnelling.


We are looking for a Senior Planner to work alongside the MCW Planning Lead and the Delivery Team for the Operational Service Centre and connected buildings, as well as the wider Main Civil Works (MCW) team. The Operational Service Centre is a complex design and build project incorporating reinforced concrete, structural steelwork, and a high-specification internal fit-out, requiring an integrated and collaborative approach to planning and delivery


Key Responsibilities


Develop, maintain, and update detailed short-term and overall project programmes in line with project requirements.
Collaborate to develop logical construction sequences and methodologies, ensuring the most beneficial delivery strategy is adopted.
Analyse performance data and advise the project team on potential impacts, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Define and manage resource requirements to support programme delivery.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including design, engineering, commercial, supply chain, and construction teams, on time-related matters.
Liaise with site teams and supply chain partners to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure programme milestones are maintained.
Highlight emerging issues and trends for proactive resolution.
Record and report on labour and resource efficiency to support performance analysis.
Provide accurate internal and external progress reporting to project leadership and stakeholders.


What skills & experience are we looking for?


Essential:


Proficient in Primavera P6 planning software.
Degree or recognised qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrable experience in developing and managing construction programmes within a civil engineering environment, including design and procurement processes.
Experience in the planning and coordination of industrial building fit-out works.
Experience in planning reinforced concrete and structural steelwork
Membership of a recognised professional body such as CIOB or MICE.
Experience in 4D / Synchro modelling for programme visualisation and integration
