Key Tasks and Accountabilities


• Lead the planning to deliver all programme and project controls outputs under an NEC contract 
• Construct and manage the production and implementation of the fully integrated master programme, phase sequence plans of the project.
• Produce programmes for acceptance, impact programmes, weekly lookaheads, project controls dashboards, reports, and programme narratives.
• Analyse project metrics, in particular rates of work to ensure key programme dates can be tracked with accuracy and displayed in project dashboards, making improvement recommendations.
• Support the commercial team to produce accurate forecasts to the end of project based on labour resource and materials forecasting with reference to programme.
• Accurately resource load, level and maintain schedule resources in a P6 environment, to support project management decisions on sequences of work.
• Support earned value analysis of the project.
• Update and monitor progress within a programme against contract requirements. 
• Contribute and support operational teams on use of collaborative planning, risk, and commercial issues.
• Evaluate supply chain and subcontract programmes.
• Comply with business processes and systems.
• Undertake analytical assessment of programmes.
• Establish and maintain internal and external project controls reporting.
• Develop the content and structure for tender programmes as required.

Essential Requirements


• Must have NEC contract-based planning experience.
• Must be familiar with reinforced concrete frame building techniques/methodologies.
• Must have previous planning experience, and an excellent working knowledge of Planning Software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous construction experience, across a wide range of engineering projects, with a good understanding of commercial and contractual matters.
• A clear ability for logical thinking and working methodically.
• Thorough experience and understanding of programming techniques.
• A sound knowledge of typical production rates.
• Competency in the use of Primavera P6.
• The ability to work to defined, often challenging, timescales.
• Contribute to a bid-winning strategy for tenders. 
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships on projects and interface with operational teams.
• The ability to support the commercial teams on projects, deal directly with clients.
• Take ownership and contribute to planning, programme and risk from tender through to project completion.
• Experienced in preparing visual management reports using PowerBi (or similar) as the reporting platform.
• Member of professional institution, such as CIOB or ICE or working towards
