Senior Planner – Infrastructure - Leiston, Suffolk


Location – Leiston, Suffolk 


Purpose of the role:


As a Senior Planner working on our brand new £124m major highways project in Leiston, as part of the new Sizewell C development, you will work closely with the Planning Manager in order to develop, update and manage the construction programme to ensure on time delivery. 


What you will be doing:


•    Contribute to creating and maintaining a safe working environment
•    Maintain and update Cl32 Programmes, ensuring schedules are robust, realistic, and risk/opportunity aware
•    Review and develop construction sequences within project constraints to validate overall durations
•    Facilitate construction readiness planning and collaborative planning sessions with clients and supply chain
•    Support with schedule outputs when required, including Time Location charts (Tilos), cost loading, and Earned Value Analysis
•    Produce programme metrics, monthly updates, and progress reports
•    Analyse and update schedules to reflect Compensation Events or other impacts
•    Develop short-term programmes with the delivery team and review subcontractor programme submissions


About you:


•    Passionate and committed to delivering excellence
•    Proven track record in planning major civils projects (highways/public realm).
•    Experience in contracting, able to independently build programmes in P6 while working within a team
•    A self-sufficient team player, driven to achieve exceptional performance
•    A background in site engineering, with first-hand understanding of project delivery is desirable but not essential.
