Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor - Marine & Tunnelling (Sizewell C)

The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to support the successful delivery of the Sizewell C Project.


CWA, appointed by the Sizewell C client, brings together three leading delivery contractors - Laing O'Rourke, Bouygues, and Balfour Beatty - to deliver the civils scope including Enabling Earthworks, Main Civil Works, and Marine and Tunnelling.


We are seeking a Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to monitor and provide proactive HSW input across the Marine & Tunnelling scope. From design through to implementation, you'll ensure governance, compliance and legal obligations are met, supporting the wider HSW agenda and helping embed a culture of Zero Harm.


Key Responsibilities


Support the HSW manager and team in providing professional advice relating to HSW
Ensure compliance with H&S legislation, procedures and contract requirements always.
Provide HSW Support to the delivery teams in the production and review of project documentation.
Attend and support prestart planning meetings where required.
Undertake HSW safety engagement tours and formal inspections in line with project requirements.
Attend client meetings and working groups on behalf of the CWA as and when required.
Maintain professional competence through effective CPD
Identify opportunities to change the way activities are undertaken to improve H&S 
performance.
Analyse data for trends and produce reports and recommendations as required.
Support the delivery team to investigate HSW adverse events and trends.
Produce and support HSW briefings and information campaigns.
Deliver training and advisory sessions to personnel and contractors as required.
Champion behavioural safety and the building of a positive safety culture
Promote the use of new technology and business systems across the project.
Be able to plan and monitor performance on SMART Objectives
Assist in maintaining the companies Safety management system - iSM


What skills & experience are we looking for?


NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent L6 qualification
Management Experience
Driving Licence
Incident investigation
CertIOSH
CSCS card
NEBOSH Fire Risk Assessment (or equivalent)
Site Environmental Awareness Training (SEATS) or similar
3 day First Aid At Work (or above)
Fire marshal
PTTLS or equivalent training qualification
Triple Bar Nuclear New Build
