Opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor (Sizewell C) working with Blackwells on the Sizewell C Project,


Main Duties : 

 

  • Commerical Management of the Project 
  • Measurement, contractual correspondence, procurement and management of subcontractors 
  • Procurement and placement of material orders 
  • Submission of interim and final accounts 
  • Identifying, notifying and valuing compensation events 
  • Preparation and maintenance of budgets 
  • Progress monitoring and cost control including material reconciliations and weekly production reporting 
  • Financial reporting including cost and value reconciliations and cash flows 
  • Attendance at progress meetings 
  • Maintenance of a site diary, record keeping including as-built records 
  • General management including staff training


Qualifications and experience required: 

 

  • 5 years Experience in Quantity Surveying
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular) 
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work 
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
