Quality and Document Controller

Reporting to the Company Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Manager (Designate), the Quality and Document Controller will manage and oversee all project documents for the Sizewell contract. The role ensures information sent to and received from the contractor is formalised, properly stored, tracible, and accessible. 

 


As well as the above, you will also work closely with the Deputy Quality and Completions Manager on HS2, to support the development and maintenance of our business systems as we work towards unifying our Quality processes across multiple contracts.

 


Scope:

 

  • Document Management and Processes:
  • Maintain document control systems within SharePoint, alongside the contractually mandated systems as stipulated by the customer, adhering to a standardised procedure. 
  • Ensure timely processing of project documents, both incoming and outgoing.
  • Ensure the secure storage, traceability, and accessibility of all project documents. 
  • Maintain document and communication registers and ensure data integrity across all platforms.
  • Compliance and Quality Checks:
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure the project team is using approved and consistent documentation.
  • Final review and approval of any project documents being sent to the customer.
  • Oversee document revision control and ensure documents are current. 
  • Systems Management and Development:
  • Manage and maintain business systems to ensure functionality, accessibility, and compliance. 
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of various SharePoint sites, process automations, workflows, and other processes, to improve project efficiency.
  • Utilise Power Automate for automating document workflows and approvals.

 


Essential:

 

  • Proficiency in the full Microsoft software package, including but not limited to:
  • SharePoint
  • Power Automate
  • Power Platform
  • Visio
  • Excel
  • Teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, initiative driven.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

 


Desirable:

 

  • Experience in managing systems and assisting in their development.
  • Experience in construction, civil engineering, or earthworks would be advantageous but is not required for the right candidate.

 


Experience in a similar role is required.
