Quality Management Lead (Sizewell C)

Job Responsibilities 


• Lead the implementation of project quality assurance and quality control arrangements across manufacturing and construction activities
• Review, accept and monitor Contractor Quality Assurance Plans (CQAPs)
• Develop and manage Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs)
• Coordinate supplier audits, surveillance and inspection activities across the supply chain
• Ensure compliance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs) and project quality specifications
• Support the management and resolution of non-conformances, corrective actions and quality issues
• Oversee manufacturing surveillance activities and support quality release processes for equipment entering site
• Carry out inspections, audits and joint surveillance activities with inspection agencies and contractors
• Monitor supplier performance and report quality metrics to project stakeholders
• Ensure construction activities are delivered in accordance with approved quality standards and technical specifications
• Work collaboratively with commercial, engineering, construction and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement
• Support implementation of project-specific quality processes and lessons learned from Hinkley Point C
• Occasional international travel to supplier facilities may be required


Qualifications 


• HNC/HND or degree qualified in an engineering or scientific discipline
• Proven experience in a quality leadership role within a safety-critical industry
• Experience working within large, contract-led project environments
• Knowledge of nuclear standards, welding, NDT/NDE or regulatory requirements would be advantageous
• Professional membership with the Chartered Quality Institute (or working towards) desirable
• Experience engaging with regulators such as the ONR would be benefit


Experience


• Experience within major infrastructure, nuclear or other highly regulated industries
• Strong background in Quality Assurance and Quality Control across engineering, procurement, manufacturing and construction
• Experience managing supplier quality, audits, inspections and surveillance activities
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and contractor oversight
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders across complex project environments
• Proven ability to identify issues, drive corrective actions and support continuous improvement
• Proactive and collaborative approach with strong organisational skills
