Key Tasks and Accountabilities
Quality Control
• Monitor onsite works quality through inspections and physical checks to ensure compliance with Nuclear Safety standards, drawings and specifications;
• Interact collaboratively with all members of the construction team, including suppliers and sub-contractors within area of responsibility, to ensure the required Nuclear Safety quality control standards are met;
• Initiate the necessary actions in collaboration with construction team to resolve minor deficiencies;
• Identify major deficiencies and non-conformances and recommend stopping the works where Nuclear Safety standards are significantly breached;
• Assist in approval of corrective actions for non-conformances, monitor satisfactory implementation of ensuing remedial works and ensure non-conformance reports are closed-out;
Client Interactions
• Liaise with Client's Project Supervisor for matters relating to quality control of Works and organise Client quality control inspections;
• Raise Notices for Inspection (NFIs) to Client, record findings, assist in identifying trends, exploit opportunities for improvement;
Records
• Ensure Quality documentation and records are appropriately collated and maintained in the Quality Filing system, under safe custody, protected from any damage or deterioration, and easily traceable;
• Maintain logs and registers within area of responsibility as required by the Project;
• Compile results of tests and analyses and interpret results;
• Monitor and report quality trends, identify opportunities for improvement and assist Quality Manager updating related procedures (ITPs, Plans etc.);
Communication
• Liaise with all members of the Project Team in a collaborative manner to ensure effective quality control of the works;
• Communicate with all members of the construction team on possible areas of improvement and encourage feed-back and recommendations on quality matters;

Essential Requirements
• HND/Degree or equivalent in Construction or related subject;
• Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of quality control activities;
• Ability to interpret structural engineering drawings and specifications and report on findings;
• Ability to keep clear and accurate records and reports;
• Hold a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card;
• Strong communication and IT skills,
• Full Driving Licence;

• Experience in Civil Engineering (Roads, networks, structures)
• ISO 9001 training;
• Achievement of, or working towards, professional quality qualification
• Digital information and modelling knowledge
• ISO-19650
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with engineering and project management software.
• Experience in a Nuclear Environment
