Project Manager - Main Civil Works (Sizewell C)
Contract Type: Full time, permanent
Location: London: Minimum 3 days a week in the office or Avonmouth office in Bristol (with occasional travel to Suffolk ). Please note that this role will eventually become site based, offices located in Ipswich, Suffolk in 2026*
Salary: From £78,949 depending on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.
Benefits include:
- Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays.

About the Role:
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for civil engineering and large-scale infrastructure projects? Join the Sizewell C Project as a Project Manager within our Civil Works Programme. You will play a pivotal role in driving the delivery of engineering work by the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) and managing key contracts to ensure the successful construction of the Sizewell C nuclear power plant.
What will you be doing as a Project Manager within Civils?
- Oversee the delivery of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Collaborate with the SZC supply chain team, Responsible Designer (RD), quality team, and suppliers.
- Develop strategies for delivering scope up to £50m, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality targets are met.
- Manage internal and external interfaces to ensure a coordinated approach to design and delivery.
- Prepare and manage contracts, including terms & conditions, contractual appendices, and technical specifications.
- Implement site-specific design changes and drive the replication of Hinkley Point C (HPC) design elements.
- Ensure lessons learned and knowledge capture are integral to project execution.
What are we looking for?
- Degree and Chartered status in Project Management, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing major projects from concept to handover.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and construction activities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience in the nuclear industry and formal project management qualifications are desirable.
