Join the Civil Works Alliance as a Project Manager in ESG and Strategic Operations


I am thrilled to offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Manager specializing in ESG and Strategic Operations to join our team at the Civil Works Alliance (CWA). As part of our efforts on the landmark Sizewell C (SZC) project-a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes-you will be integral to our mission of creating a sustainable energy future for the UK, delivering reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.


In this vital role, you'll report directly to the Strategic Operations Director and focus on embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles throughout our project operations. You will ensure the effective development and integration of critical ESG-related processes and systems, including:

 

  • Developing the CWA Information Management System (IMS)
  • Defining the ESG-centric operating model for CWA teams
  • Rolling out visual management processes with an ESG lens
  • Manage projects to develop a sense of ownership from all stakeholders and to communicate changes to processes and systems effectively, to ensure smooth adoption.
  • Monitor projects for change, capture change and react accordingly to provide the best outcome for the alliance.
  • Delivering the Alliance & Behavioural coaching programmes with a focus on ESG standards
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the programme team


Qualifications/Experience : 

 

  • Master's Degree within a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in programme management, project management, or a related role, preferably within a large and complex organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex deliverables accounting for complex stakeholder requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of programme and project and change management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Programme and Project and Change Management
  • Communication (including writing skills) and Collaborative facilitation
