Project Manager - Civils (Sizewell C)

Main Duties:


•    As head of one of the Delivery Teams, lead and oversee the construction of the works to ensure completion on both time and budget.
•    Interact closely with the Blackwell Central support, Commercial, and Health and Safety teams to ensure a co-ordinated approach is maintained across all sections of the contract and throughout all disciplines. Feed information into Central Support and ensure the effective distribution and use of information given out from the same.
•    Build a strong relationship with the Client based on mutual trust and co-operation.
•    Form a strong working team 
•    Take ownership for the work under their control
•    Liaise with the Senior Leadership Team and ensure they are kept fully informed of progress and any problems that may become apparent.


Requirements:


Existing right to work in the UK.
Full UK Drivers Licence.
Degree level education.
Relevant CSCS card.


Essential:


•    Experience of linear earthworks.
•    In depth knowledge of modern earthmoving methods, plant, outputs, and technologies.
•    In-depth knowledge of earthworks specifications and materials handling constraints
•    In-depth knowledge of operational earthworks constraints
•    Proficient at producing resourced programmes
•    Able to produce a working budget based on a programme
•    A good commercial awareness generally
•    A good working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental law and best practice. 
•    A good working knowledge of employment law and the Working Rule Agreement T&C's
•    Able to organise and deal with a large volume of incoming documents.
•    Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks using delegation where ever possible.
•    A problem solver who is always looking for cheaper, faster, safer ways of doing things
•    A genuine desire to ensure work is always carried out safely, and a willingness to instil this attribute into key members of the team to ensure no unsafe situation is ever passed by.
•    A motivational and energetic personality and an ability to engage with all levels of personnel within the project.
•    Level-headed and possessing the ability to make decisions under pressure.
•    Adaptable to change
•    Must have relevant CSCS card for the role
•    Will deputise as required
