Main Duties:


Project Delivery & Planning


Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of civils works packages, ensuring alignment with programme, technical specifications, and safety requirements.
Manage daily site operations, including sequencing, logistics, permits, and resource deployment.
Track progress against the master schedule and develop mitigation strategies for delays or risk items.


Health, Safety, Quality & Compliance


Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure all activities comply with Nuclear Site Licence Conditions, CDM Regulations, and Sizewell C site procedures.
Promote best practice in environmental management and sustainability.
Ensure quality assurance processes are followed and that all documentation, inspections, and records meet nuclear standards.


Stakeholder Management


Act as a key interface between subcontractors, designers, client representatives (NNB), and internal project teams.
Lead coordination meetings, resolve technical issues, and manage change control.
Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and commercial performance.


Commercial & Contractual


Support commercial teams with subcontract management, change control, early warnings, and compensation events (NEC4).
Monitor budgets and cost forecasts, ensuring delivery within agreed financial parameters.
Contribute to procurement strategy and subcontractor selection where required.
Leadership & Team Development
Manage a multidisciplinary site team including engineers, supervisors, planners, and administrators.
Provide mentoring, coaching, and performance management to maintain a high-performing team.
Foster collaboration across interface packages, including earthworks, concrete structures, utilities, and enabling works.


Requirements:


CSCS Manager's card
SMSTS (or equivalent site management safety qualification)
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (preferred but not essential)
Temporary Works Coordinator qualification (desirable)
Eligibility for BPSS / CTC security vetting
Proven track record delivering civils packages on major infrastructure projects (nuclear, rail, highways, energy, marine, or heavy civils)
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC4 preferred)
Experience managing subcontractors, change control, early warnings, and commercial reporting
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary site teams in a highly regulated environment
Thorough understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works, permits, and QA processes
Previous experience on nuclear sites such as Hinkley Point C (desirable)
