Key tasks and accountabilities


• Manage the delivery of the project work packages to high standards by budgeting and programming 
• Implementing safe systems of work for site activities, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and welfare are maintained.
• Liaise with traffic management teams to ensure compliance.
• Manage all phases of the project, from contract award to close out, to meet all contractual requirements.
• Manage designated projects to meet company objectives post-contract with an input into pre-contract requirements emphasising customer care and business excellence. 
• Manage quality inspection records on site in line with the quality plan
• Provide support and reviews to tender strategies for the major projects including buildability reviews
• Develop strong working relationships with the clients Management team and Project delivery team.
• Will be the direct report for site-based Senior Project Manager.
• Deliver projects to agreed programmes and liaise with operational delivery teams.
• Liaise with the client and their advisors and fully understand their needs and expectations.
• Monitor and co-ordinating Subcontractors during the contract period
• Attendance at regular meetings to ensure clear communication channels are in place, to report on progress; identify problems encountered and any variations to project both internally and externally
• To comply with company procedural requirements, exercising cost control during delivery of operations
• Ensure project risks are identified and managed through effective mitigation measures through the construction period.
• To contribute to the development and maintenance of efficient systems establishing good working practices
• Responsible for the distribution, maintenance, and retention of records associated to the construction process for administration purposes in line with Company needs
• Dealing with all project related incidents and undertaking regular inspections and checks of working practices.
• Ensuring work is carried out to the correct specification and QA standards
• Deliver works in line with Kier Health & Safety Management System and ensure Health & Safety, Environment legislation is complied with
• Responsible for the rectification of defects and the receipt of the Making Good Defects Certificate.
• Ensure projects are safely delivered on time, to budget and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
• Oversee the co-ordination of operatives, subcontractors and supplier in a planned and controlled manner ensuring efficiency and minimising costs 
• Act as a point of contact, managing relationships with all local stakeholders and kier communications and liaison teams
• Implement and comply with Keir’s SHE policy and procedures, all legal requirements and best practice within Kier Group's including regular safety inspections within the allocated business area
