Project Manager - Enabling and Earthworks

The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to support the successful delivery of the Sizewell C Project.

 

 

CWA, appointed by the Sizewell C client, brings together three leading delivery contractors - Laing O'Rourke, Bouygues, and Balfour Beatty - to deliver the civils scope including Enabling Earthworks, Main Civil Works, and Marine and Tunnelling.

 

 

We are looking for a Project Manager to manage and deliver multiple heavy civil works such as major earthworks, stockpile management, platform installation for piling and cranage, infrastructure setup, heavy-duty FRC slabs, drainage, and water management in a dynamic, live environment. The candidate must provide strategic operational management with strong leadership, overseeing a multidisciplined team across a large site, while mentoring junior teams and maintaining clear, effective communication both internally and with the client

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

- Manage and deliver construction packages to programme, budget and safety standards

- Lead and motivate a multi-disciplined team across a large site area

- Oversee major earthworks, drainage, heavy duty FRC slabs, piling platforms and infrastructure installation

- Take responsibility for health, safety, quality, and commercial performance across your section of works

- Act as a mentor, guiding and developing junior team members while fostering collaboration and strong team culture

 

 

Qualifications

 

Essential:

 

- Proficient in Primavera P6 planning software.

- Degree or industry-recognised qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience developing and managing construction programmes in a civil engineering environment, preferably on large-scale infrastructure projects.

- Some experience with planning reinforced concrete works.

 

 

Desirable:

 

- Membership of CIOB or MICE.

- Experience with 4D/Synchro modelling.
