Employment type: Permanent full-time/ part-time.

 

Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach if needed.

Following on from the success of the new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C (HPC), the Sizewell C Project (SZC) in Suffolk is the UK’s next nuclear power new build project. The project has obtained planning approval and has started construction works. It has recently achieved Financial Investment Decision (FID) meaning that all the funding for the full lifespan of the project is now secured and in place guaranteeing the full delivery of this new nuclear power station. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

 

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.

Join us at the forefront of Britain’s clean energy future. As the Pre-Operations Quality Manager at Sizewell C, you’ll shape the foundation of our operational Integrated Management System—ensuring we deliver safe, compliant, and low-carbon electricity to six million homes for the next 60 years.

 

This is a rare opportunity to lead from the ground up. You’ll craft the strategy for the operational quality topic, then bring it to life by:

 

•             Building and leading a high-performing quality team

•             Designing, implementing and then governing robust quality arrangements and standards

•             Overseeing the development and delivery of quality related training

•             Embedding a culture of compliance and continuous improvement

 

Your work will be instrumental in making quality a core mindset across Sizewell C’s operational development.

 

 

The skills

 

We’re looking for a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with:

 

  • Proven experience developing and managing Integrated Management Systems, ideally in regulated industries
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and related standards
  • Expertise in organisational transitions and process evolution
  • Proven project management skills—covering scheduling, budgeting, risk, and compliance
  • Leadership experience, ideally in building new teams
  • Sharp audit, investigation, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skill
