Location: Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk - 5 days a week (occasional weekend work may be required).
Travel: Multi-site across Suffolk (transport provided)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary:  £52,000- £58,000 dependent on experience, plus benefits

About the Role

 
We are seeking a Permit to Work Coordinator to support the safe and compliant delivery of works at Sizewell C, one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects.


Working closely with the Permit to Work Manager, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining and operating the electronic Permit to Work (PtW) system, ensuring all activities on site are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
 

Support the implementation and ongoing development of the Permit to Work system
Assist in the day-to-day Permit to Work operations, ensuring compliance / assurance with procedures
Verify method statements, risk assessments, and supporting documentation have been communicated and relevant for the task
Maintain accurate records for audit and compliance purposes
Support site scheduling and coordination of works
Work closely with construction, safety, and technical teams to ensure alignment
Assist with training and competency validation of permit users and acceptors
Contribute to performance reporting and KPI tracking
Conduct compliance / assurance audits, identify non-conformities, and support corrective actions
Build strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders across the project
 

About You


Essential


Experience working with an electronic Permit to Work system or safe systems of work
Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety regulations, particularly CDM 2015
Background in engineering, construction or process-driven environments
NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
Ability to coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams and contractors
Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
 

Desirable

 
Experience across civils, mechanical and electrical works
MAPS certification (or similar)
Experience working on large infrastructure or complex projects
