The MEH Alliance which covers the mechanical, electrical and HVAC part, is an alliance of five partners. We are looking for a personal assistant who will support the Alliance Director and wider Leadership team.

This role provides dedicated, high‑level executive support to the Alliance Director and the role will act as a trusted partner, enabling effective leadership, decision‑making and prioritisation in a complex and fast‑moving environment.

What you’ll be doing

As the Executive Assistant, you'll provide high‑quality executive support to the Alliance Director, enabling effective leadership, decision‑making and prioritisation in a complex and fast‑moving environment. You'll manage complex diaries, priorities and commitments, coordinate meetings and engagements with senior internal and external stakeholders. Providing hands‑on support where needed, including arranging travel, accommodation and hospitality, and processing expenses in line with policy.

You will act as a key interface for the Alliance Director’s office, managing information flow, access and competing demands with discretion and sound judgement. Key tasks will also involve preparing, coordinating and quality‑checking of briefings, papers and presentations. Attending key leadership and governance meetings, capturing clear outcomes, actions and follow‑ups as required. A proactive approach and high level of organisation will be required.

As the Executive Assistant, you will support effective communication and coordination across the MEH Alliance and the wider project, acting as a central point of contact where appropriate. You will contribute to the onboarding and integration of senior leaders and key stakeholders as the organisation continues to grow, and will maintain well‑structured digital records, documentation and stakeholder information using agreed systems.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience providing high‑level executive support to a senior director, executive or equivalent role.
• Experience working in a complex, fast‑paced environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgement.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, including managing complex diaries and shifting demands.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging at all levels of seniority.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate needs, think ahead and operate with minimal supervision.
• High levels of professionalism and judgement, particularly in managing information flow, access and priorities.
• Digital confidence, with strong capability in Microsoft tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint).

Why this role matters

This role will play a key part in shaping how the MEH Alliance operates. You’ll help create clarity, improve ways of working, and ensure the function is well connected, visible and trusted across the wider project.

It’s an opportunity to step into a role with real variety, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the chance to make a tangible impact from day one.

When joining Sizewell C, you may wonder why you are contacted by colleagues with an EDF email or see the EDF logo on portals that you access and/or documentation you receive; this is because we have partnered with EDF for the provision of a number of support services whilst we complete a successful transition out of the EDF group.

For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK. As a project, we do not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, colour, religion, disability or sexual orientation, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.

Why Join Us?

For more than 60 years, nuclear power stations in the UK have been quietly keeping Britain fuelled with massive amounts of home-grown energy.

Our teams up and down the country are proudly continuing to serve the nation – but they also have an eye on the future.

EDF is leading the UK's nuclear renaissance with the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C and plans for a new power station at Sizewell C in Suffolk.

Nuclear power is the most reliable, low-carbon energy source currently available to the UK. EDF is playing a key role in the development of nuclear sites, while Hinkley Point C will provide low-carbon electricity to meet 7% of the UK demand. The project is already making a positive impact on the local and national economy as well as boosting skills and education.

We’re not just building new nuclear power stations. We’re developing careers, upskilling generations and creating thousands of employment and apprenticeship opportunities across a variety of skills areas.

It takes a special kind of person to work in the nuclear energy industry and although we have thousands of them there’s always a need for more.

Our industry has a mind-boggling range of opportunities and more jobs, and in more places, than you might think. But it’s also an industry which is changing.

We’re a responsible business and proud to be Britain’s biggest generator of zero carbon electricity. With size, age and experience, we believe we can do even more.
