Operations Support Coordinator (Sizewell C)

The Operations Support Coordinator is a member of the security management team and is a pivotal role for the day to day operational support and management of the on shift security team at Sizewell C (SZC).


Pay: £21.05 Per hour

Weekly Hours: 45 hours per week, working normal office hours but will require some flexibility and possible weekend working.


Remuneration package 


Permanent Contract
20 days leave per year + 8 days Bank Holidays

Key Responsibilities


■ Comply with all Health & Safety procedures as set by the client and G4S
■ Day to day operational management of the on shift security team at SZC including:

■ Absence management
■ Discipline
■ HR support and scheduling

■ Logistics support
■ Health, Safety and Environment
■ Communications and reporting

■ Training of the Security team including inductions and onboarding tasks
■ Exercising the security team
■ Maintaining management portal

■ Mentoring Security Supervisors and Officers
■ Ensure continuity across all teams
■ Record keeping and compliance maintenance

■ Line management of the shift supervisors
■ Incident response and scene management (Incident Commander)
■ Cross site and contractor liaison

■ Liaise with Hinkley Point C subject matter experts to ensure we benefit from their learning 
■ Holiday cover for contract manager


Skills and Competencies


■ Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, policies and best working practices
■ Strong management and leadership skills together with excellent communication, influencing, negotiating and engagement skills

■ Sound judgement and decision making, with a ‘hands on’, problem solving approach, able to remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents
■ Innovative in approach, supportive and adaptable to change
■ Previous G4S experience with 3rd part management systems would be beneficial to role

 ■ Previous construction/Nuclear Security experience beneficial
