The Operations Manager will play a pivotal leadership role in supporting the successful delivery of the Sizewell C Project, one of the most significant nationally critical infrastructure projects in the United Kingdom. The role is responsible for leading and directing operational delivery teams to ensure the safe, efficient and commercially successful execution of all works across assigned areas of the project.


Operating within a highly regulated nuclear new build environment, the Operations Manager will drive operational excellence while championing the highest standards of health, safety, environmental stewardship, quality, and compliance. The role will provide visible leadership across the business, fostering a culture aligned with the Sizewell C vision, values and Zero Harm philosophy.


Working collaboratively with Sizewell C, supply chain partners, internal stakeholders and operational teams, the Operations Manager will ensure that strategic objectives are translated into effective operational plans that deliver outstanding performance, programme certainty, sustainable growth and value 
for all stakeholders.


Qualifications 


· HNC/HND, Degree qualification, or equivalent industry experience in Construction, Civil Engineering, Infrastructure or a related discipline.
· NEBOSH Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health and safety qualification.
· Managers and Professional CITB Health & Safety Test.
· HWM Sizewell Internal Competency Assessment.
· Full UK Driving Licence.


Essential Experience


· Experience operating within highly regulated environment where safety, quality and  compliance are critical.
· Significant operational management experience within large-scale civil engineering, infrastructure, highways or nuclear projects.
· Proven track record of leading high-performing teams in complex and challenging project environments.
· Strong experience managing client relationships and delivering against demanding programme objectives.
· Demonstrable success in delivering operational and commercial performance targets.


Desirable Experience


· Experience within nuclear, major infrastructure, energy, or regulated environments.


Knowledge & Skills:


· Advanced understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality management systems.
· Knowledge of nuclear safety culture principles and regulated working environments.
· Strong understanding of major project delivery and operational management principles.
· Excellent leadership, influencing and stakeholder management capabilities.
· Strong commercial acumen and contractual awareness.
· Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
· Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.
