Opportunity for a Nuclear Compliance Senior Lead working with Rullion on the Sizewell C project,


Location: London/Sizewell/Bristol   (hybrid working arrangements).

Employment type: Permanent full-time/ part-time.
Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach where possible.
Salary: £62,000 - £70,000 dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.

The Role


As the Nuclear Compliance Senior Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of nuclear compliance for the Sizewell C project. You will ensure that the project adheres to all applicable nuclear regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines. This role requires a deep understanding of nuclear regulations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive nuclear compliance program for Sizewell C.
  • Ensure compliance with all nuclear regulatory requirements, including those set by the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and the Environment Agency.
  • Lead and manage the compliance team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and other external stakeholders to ensure alignment with best practices and regulatory expectations.
  • Provide expert advice on nuclear compliance matters to senior management and project teams.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities as required.
  • Investigate and resolve any compliance issues or incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in nuclear regulations and industry standards, ensuring the project remains in compliance.
  • Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the organisation.


Qualifications and Experience :

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nuclear compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of nuclear regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing compliance teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to safety and compliance.
