Location: Sizewell C, Ipswich, Suffolk (onsite 5 days per week), with occasional weekend work and some travel to the Netherlands

Contract: Permanent, full-time
Salary: £60,000–£65,000 (depending on experience) + excellent benefits


Benefits include:

About the Role


We are seeking a Logistics Inventory Manager to lead a best‑in‑class inventory function supporting Sizewell C’s construction. You will ensure integrity, accuracy, and traceability of all materials stored at Orwell Logistics Park (OLP) and across SZC’s logistics network.


This role is pivotal to maintaining compliance with nuclear quality standards, the Development Consent Order (DCO), and Logistics Service Provider (LSP) obligations, while enabling the safe and efficient flow of materials to site.


Key Responsibilities


Full accountability for material identification, traceability, and control across OLP and SZC’s logistics network.
Oversee inventory transactions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring accuracy and alignment with control tower reporting.
Coordinate with Tier 1 contractors and the Lead Logistics Partner to forecast demand, allocate storage, and manage call‑offs.
Ensure goods receipt, inspection, preservation, and dispatch comply with SZC policies, Nuclear Site Licence Conditions (LC6, LC28), and audit requirements.
Lead daily operations, stock accuracy checks, and documentation to support safety and quality assurance.
Manage a small team of inventory controllers and coordinators, setting objectives, safety expectations, and KPIs.
Develop material control procedures aligned with the Warehousing Strategy and project execution plan.
Support WMS integration with SZC’s Control Tower and reporting systems.
Act as Intelligent Customer for LSP inventory operations, reviewing reports and corrective actions.
Collaborate across MEHA, Site Operations, Quality, Construction, and Engineering teams.
Contribute to monthly performance reporting and audit readiness.
 

Role Dimensions


Financial: Oversight of inventory valued at £500–750 million across OLP.


Essential Skills & Experience


Degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering.
Significant warehouse/inventory management experience on large infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of preservation and material control in regulated environments.
Proficient in WMS/ERP systems (Blue Yonder advantageous).
Strong Microsoft Office skills; Lean qualification beneficial.
Experience as WMS superuser/trainer desirable.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, LC6, LC28.
Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills.
Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Risk Management: Safeguard stock integrity, monitor inbound schedules, and support contingency planning.
 

Desirable


Chartered Membership of CILT or equivalent.
Experience in nuclear, defence, or regulated sectors.
Knowledge of NEC contracts.
IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification.
Technical construction qualifications and product care/maintenance experience.
