Job Responsibilities

  • Operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently to move, load, and stockpile materials.
  • Conduct daily machine checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure materials are handled and loaded to meet production and safety targets.
  • Work in line with site safety procedures and traffic management plans.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and safe working environment around the machine and site.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, ground staff, and other operators.
  • Adhere to company policies, health & safety regulations, and environmental standards.


Qualifications

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS (with CSCS Hologram) card.


Experience

  • Previous experience operating a loading shovel in construction, quarry, recycling, or similar environments.
  • Good understanding of site safety procedures and safe machine operation.
  • Experience in material handling, stockpiling, and loading vehicles.
  • Ability to carry out basic daily maintenance checks on machinery.
  • Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.
