Opportunity for a Land Surveyor (Sizewell C) working with Balfour Beatty on the Sizewell C Project,


The purpose of the role is:

 

Support the survey team in the delivery of all survey requirements for the project.
Assist the senior surveyor and survey team with day-to-day survey requirements. 
Implementing standardised approach to the capture of all survey data and creation of deliverables across the project.
This role will involve different survey processes as required to support the site teams. Tasks will vary but will include engineering control, topographic survey, engineering surveying and setting out.

Provide site support for the survey teams. You will carry out site surveys, assist in QA/QC, and support H&S (Health & Safety) 
and sustainability initiatives within the survey department. Be fully conscious of company and industry safe standards of working and implement these within the construction environment.
Follow site safety briefings to survey team members including the preparation of WPP (Work Package Plan), RA (Risk Assessment), and TBS (Task Briefing Sheets).


Knowledge & Skills


Essential


• Experience and knowledge on use of survey equipment and instrumentation
• Experience and knowledge on use of survey and CAD software
• 2+ years' experience working on construction projects
• Knowledge of design interpretation, including digital formats & 3D models
• Proficient in IT (Information Technology) applications
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with the wider project team
• Experience in settlement monitoring systems, methods, and technologies
• Experience in geodetic requirements associated with project requirements
• Experience using latest survey equipment, software, and technologies
• Hold a full driving licence
• Experience in using GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System)


Desirable


• Basic understanding in design, construction, and surveying within a construction environment
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications  

• Experience of survey specific software and processing applications


Qualifications & Experience


Essential


• Relevant degree, diploma, or equivalent industry recognised qualification 
• Hold a valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
