The Civil Works Alliance is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic HSW Systems Advisor to contribute to the delivery of the exciting Sizewell C Project. In this role, you will support the SMS Systems Lead in developing, communicating, implementing, maintaining, and reviewing the CWA Safety Management System (SMS). You will ensure that the SMS remains fit for purpose to manage risks associated with the work being carried out, while supporting delivery teams in achieving operational excellence in Health, Safety, and Wellbeing.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Supports the HSW SMS Systems Lead and wider functional team in the development of a suitable and sufficient Safety Management System (SMS) for the Civil Works Alliance.
- Liaise with the Integrated Management System (IMS) development team in the lead up to the launch of the Civil Works Alliance IMS.
- Support the implementation of and ensure compliance with the CWA Safety Management System (SMS) through engagement, training and assurance.
- Able to build relationships with the CWA project teams and wider interested stakeholders.
- Supports the implementation of the Nuclear Safety message during engagements with the whole CWA team

 

Qualifications 

- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
- Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Managers and Professionals competence

 

Experience 

- Experience of using and developing health and safety management systems.
- Capable of planning and managing your workload.
- Proficient in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Skilled in influencing and promoting a positive HSW culture by providing constructive feedback on performance, strengths, and development needs.
- Experienced in engaging with all levels within the CWA operational team structure.
Knowledge of UK Health and Safety Legislation.
- Competent in using data and information for the preparation of HSW SMS reports.
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
