Be part of this 'once in a generation' project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low-carbon electricity.


The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O'Rourke.


We are more than just an alliance, we are bringing together a single delivery organisation with years of learning and experience from other major complex infrastructure programmes worldwide


Essential


• Capable of taking ownership of the works or a section of the works from start to finish, including the handover of the works
• Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately
• Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes
• Strong work ethic with flexibility to work unsociable hours/nights
• Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility
• Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card
• SMSTS
• Must be a good team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience of managing the works of direct labour and subcontractors


Desired:


- Experience working within environmental protected sites
- Experience in one of more of the following disciplines: ground improvement techniques, earthworks, drainage, structures


The role is responsible the delivery in the delivery of high profile projects involving earthworks, deep drainage and reinforced concrete construction, to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded and enhanced experience for all involved in the scheme. Solution orientated individual, with ability to analyse risks and benefits of options to resolve identified issues. Proven experience of working to tight deadlines with an ability to prioritise and multi-task.
