Job Responsibilities
• Promote the Kier culture of Collaborative, Trusted and Focused within the delivery teams.
• Deliver works in line with Kier Health & Safety Management System and ensure Health & Safety, and Environmental legislation is complied with.
• Ensure that safe systems of work for site activities are always in place, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and welfare are maintained.
• Supervise and coordinate site operatives, tradespeople, and subcontractors.
• Allocate daily tasks and ensure work is carried out according to programme schedules.
• Monitor productivity and progress against project timelines.
• Ensure adequate labour, materials, and equipment are available.
• Ensure plant, equipment, vehicles and materials are efficiently used, monitoring associated quantities and costs, and ensuring Kier procurement/buying/hiring procedures are followed.
• Enforce health and safety policies and procedures on site.
• Conduct site safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
• Identify, rectify and report hazards, incidents, and near misses.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), and SSoW.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure work meets required specifications and quality standards. Report and address any defects or quality issues.
• Ensure materials and construction methods comply with project requirements.
• Positively assist with resolving on-site issues or delays.
• Attend site meetings when required.
• Coordinate labour resources and subcontractor activities.
• Maintain accurate site records including labour and allocation and daily diaries.

Essential Requirements
• SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS certification
• CSCS Card (Gold or Black).
• Strong understanding of UK construction regulations and site safety Experience in Groundworks, Earthworks & Reinforced Concrete.
• First Aid at Work certification
• Proven experience in a construction supervisory role (e.g., Foreman, Lead Hand, Supervisor)
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methods and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Strong focus on health and safety compliance.
• You can motivate, guide, and mentor teams to achieve successful outcomes.
• You possess excellent communication and collaboration skills for liaising with teams, contractors, and stakeholders
