Financial Reporting Manager (Sizewell C)
Location: London office based (Liverpool Street). Hybrid working arrangements - typically 2 days per week in the office, with occasional travel to Site at Leiston. Applicants with links to Suffolk are encouraged
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time.
Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full-time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach where possible.
Salary & package: Competitive salary and benefits dependant on experience. Plus 10% bonus, private healthcare, flexible benefits allowance to spend on a variety of benefits.

Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the Sizewell C Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
As the Sizewell C Reporting Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of accurate IFRS and regulatory reporting for the Sizewell C project. You will take ownership of financial processes, reporting structures, and stakeholder engagement while mentoring a team to ensure robust financial governance across the project lifecycle.
This is a role for a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in consolidated financial reporting, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to operate effectively within a complex and regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Monthly Financial Close Process: Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting, ensuring alignment with IFRS standards and Company policies.
- Drive Consolidated Financial Planning: Manage the consolidation of the Construction Plan & Budget (CP&B), half-year forecasts, and challenge assumptions to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Regulatory Reporting: Coordinate quarterly Ofgem RIGs performance reporting and annual Allowed Revenue forecasts, reconciling between RAB and IFRS accounting.
- Financial Audit & Governance: Plan and facilitate smooth audit processes, ensuring financial controls are strong, well-documented, and understood.
- Cost Management: Take ownership of the ERP reporting hierarchy and structure, ensuring an accurate audit trail for project expenditure.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Project Controls, Supply Chain, and HR teams, as well as key external stakeholders, investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Cash Management & Forecasting: Working with stakeholders across the Treasury team and the wider business, develop forward-looking forecasts to allow timely equity calls to maintain liquidity.
- Insightful Financial Analysis: Interpret financial data, predict stakeholder requirements, and present clear, actionable insights to senior leadership, including the Sizewell C Board.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices and process enhancements, fostering a culture of financial excellence and accountability across the project.
About You
We are looking for a senior finance professional who combines technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, integrity and a passion for net zero and Nuclear energy. You will demonstrate the following:
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Proven expertise in IFRS consolidated reporting, financial controls, and governance.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide strategic financial insight.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial systems (e.g., SAP 4 HANA and ANAPLAN desirable).
- A track record of delivering in complex, regulated environments, ideally within the energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and desire to learn.

Sizewell C was formerly under the majority ownership of the EDF Group but is currently majority owned by HM Government and operates as an independent company. EDF remains a key shareholder in Sizewell C and the business therefore maintains close links to EDF as a part of its ‘nuclear family’.
As a Sizewell C employee, you may wonder why you are contacted by colleagues with an EDF email, or see the EDF logo on portals that you access and/or documentation you receive; this is because we have partnered with EDF for the provision of a number of support services whilst we complete a successful transition out of the EDF group.
* Sizewell C Limited will be moving offices from 90 Whitfield Street to 25 Copthall Avenue.
25 Copthall Avenue is a modern building just a short walk from Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations. Sizewell C will occupy the whole of the 4th floor. We are targeting a move in February 2025.
This role will be contractually based at 25 Copthall Avenue. However, depending on the date of the move there may be a period that you will be required to work temporarily from our existing office at 90 Whitfield Street
