Facilities Management Delivery Lead (Sizewell C)

Employment type: Permanent full-time.
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.


The Opportunity 


Sizewell C is seeking a dynamic FM Workspace Management Delivery Lead to take responsibility for the delivery, implementation, and management of workspace planning across our office and internal building areas. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining a database of space usage, occupiers, furniture, fittings, and equipment to ensure efficient and effective use of workspaces in line with the SZC construction project needs.


As the FM Workspace Management Delivery Lead will ensure that all workspace services are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, time, and cost efficiency, meeting the demands of the SZC construction project for accommodation and work areas. This role requires an experienced leader who can provide expert input and guidance on workplace planning, strategy, procurement, implementation, and contract management.


The Role

 

  • You’ll manage day to day the provision of a workspace management service for SZC office buildings and facilities for 
  • existing and future building areas in addition to:
  • Be directly responsible for a specific service contract deliverable to support the role with CAD and moves management.
  • Be accountable for ensuring all statutory, regulatory and site controls are complied with.
  • Form effective relationships with their service contract partner and lead manager for the service, clarity, respect, positivity, humility and integrity.
  • Ensure the CAD and database software packages are suitable for use of the team to maintain Master drawings and data files.
  • Ensure the contract partners team are fully competent to perform their assigned roles – and that any shortfalls are reported to the Service Manager without delay.
  • Develop and implement plans to ensure service delivery meets or exceeds the expectations and project work schedule – includes collection of forecasting information on workforce requirements. 
  • Ensure early intervention to avoid any escalation of issues affecting service delivery by working in the spirit of a ‘one team approach’.
  • Define the work scope to be delivered within the contract or package of work and the interfaces with all other elements of the project.
  • Anticipate and resolve any issues arising with the FM contractor for package of works and services, identifying risks and facilitating their resolution or escalate to Service Manager.
  • Support the preparation of monthly reports workspace management including safety performance, performance against SLAs, performance against KPIs, financial reporting, project forecasting and forward planning.
  • Address office building technical and service delivery concerns and develop solutions for approval.
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of workspace services and play a key role in managing the process to include: Safety, quality, risk and environmental management.


The Skills


To be successful in this role you’ll be:

 

  • Degree standard education in related subject or equivalent experience.
  • It’s essential that you’re CAD trained and qualified.
  • Experience of working with and developing budgets.
  • Management or leadership experience in a service lead environment. 
  • Willingness to learn from both successes and failures.
  • Proven experience within a workspace management service 
  • Excellent communication skills and able to strike up effective working relationships.
  • Must be willing to work with our local supply chain partners in a cooperative way. 


Desirable

 

  • Recognised and certificated ‘Behavioural Safety Programme.
  • Recent IOSH accreditation or equivalent.
