Main Duties:


Managing and Delivering Environmental, Social & Governance reporting and develop future processes & procedures to deliver Net Zero on behalf of Wilson James at SZC.
Develop, deliver and maintain environmental SOPs and KPIs, comfortable with data.
Design and assure disposal routes for all waste management, in support of the SZC operation. 
Design and manage the HPC Environmental Management System, aligned to Wilson James KPIs. This will include a robust programme of reporting, audits and environmental surveillance.
Work with H&S team to share best practice and capitalise on shared objectives such as training, inspection, communication, reporting, and procedures.
Collate performance data using standard metrics, such as UNSDGs, to enable year on year internal progress reporting against targets, and performance comparison with peers. Present performance trends to the management teams to enable sustainability informed decisions.
Complete surveys on behalf of SZC and assess value of accreditations for memberships e.g. CDP, SECR reporting, ESOS reporting, ECOVADIS.
Point of contact in the division and associated planning stakeholders for all day-to-day environmental queries. WJ representative on all site-wide environmental forums. Supported by the wider Wilson James (Infrastructure) Sustainability Team.
Critical contribution to WJ LLP in support of the client's and  WIlson James social value proposition to Suffolk, the Region and UK.
Work closely with the Wilson Jame sustainability team to deliver Group reporting and performance metrics against stated aims.
Retain CSCS Professionally Qualified Person card.


Requirements:


Degree in Environmental or related discipline
Strong working knowledge of Environmental regulations, specific to the construction industry logistics activities.
Good understanding of UK legislation and practical control of water pollution, waste management, ecology, soils and air quality.
IEMA or similar membership
CITB H&S test pass certificate for Managers & Professionals
Experience in compiling and reviewing RAMS specific to task
Strong construction or engineering background.
Experience working in a multi-disciplined safety critical environment. 
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, able to communicate at all levels. 
IT literate - Strong electronic communication, spreadsheet, and presentation skills. 
An understanding of the principles of equality and diversity in relation to visitors' and employee's

Salary starting from £63,000.00 per annum
8.5% bonus
