We're looking for an Education Lead to play a key role in shaping how young people, educators and local communities engage with Sizewell C. Working within the Employment Affairs Unit (EAU), you'll lead education outreach initiatives, build strong partnerships with schools, colleges and stakeholders, and help create awareness of the wide range of future career opportunities available through the project.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about education, early careers and social value who can build meaningful relationships and inspire future talent pipelines across Suffolk and the wider region.
Why Join Sizewell C?
At Sizewell C, you'll be part of a nationally important project that will power around 6 million homes while creating thousands of jobs, apprenticeships and development opportunities. You'll have the chance to make a lasting impact by helping young people understand and access future careers in engineering, construction, business, technology and many other disciplines.
You'll join a collaborative team committed to delivering social value, working closely with educators, supply chain partners, local communities and internal stakeholders to support the future workforce needs of one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects.
Why Join Sizewell C as an Education Lead?
This is a unique opportunity to influence the future talent pipeline for Sizewell C. As Education Lead, you'll be responsible for building awareness of the project and its career opportunities among young people before they enter the workforce, helping them understand the pathways available through apprenticeships, graduate opportunities and future employment routes.
Working alongside schools, colleges, training providers, contractors and supply chain partners, you'll coordinate engaging education programmes and outreach activities that connect learning with real career opportunities. If you're passionate about education, stakeholder engagement and inspiring future generations, this role offers the opportunity to leave a meaningful and lasting legacy across the region.
What You'll Be Doing
As Education Lead, you will:
Lead the delivery of Sizewell C's education programmes, including PowerUp! and Young SZC initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, colleges, universities, education providers, contractors and supply chain partners.
Coordinate education and outreach activities that raise awareness of future careers, apprenticeships and employment opportunities connected to Sizewell C.
Act as the key point of contact for education-related activities across the project and within the supply chain.
Support the development of talent pipelines that feed into future apprenticeships, graduate programmes and employment opportunities.
Work with internal teams and external partners to develop engaging content, events and initiatives for young people and educators.
Monitor and report on programme performance, outcomes and commitments, ensuring activities deliver measurable social value and meet project objectives.
Provide career advice and guidance through education, skills and employment activities.
Represent Sizewell C at education, skills and employment forums, events and stakeholder meetings.
Ensure all activities align with the project's workforce requirements, stakeholder commitments and community engagement ambitions.
What You'll Need
We're looking for someone with experience in education, skills development, stakeholder engagement or early careers programmes who can build trusted relationships and translate strategy into meaningful outcomes.
You'll ideally have:
A strong understanding of the pre-16 and post-16 education and skills landscape.
Experience developing or delivering education, employability, outreach or social value programmes.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of audiences.
Experience building partnerships across education providers, employers and external organisations.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
The ability to coordinate multiple projects, manage competing priorities and deliver against deadlines.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Confidence working independently while collaborating effectively within a wider team.
Experience within education, training, construction, infrastructure, social value, stakeholder engagement or large-scale projects would be advantageous. Power BI and CRM system experience would also be beneficial but are not essential.
