Deputy Head of Programme Controls

Daily Rates: £450 - £675
Job Responsibilities
- Support functional Project Controls leads in developing integrated Project Controls processes
- Deputize for the Head of Programme Controls at key meetings including Change Committee and Project Performance Reviews
- Assist with establishing Project Controls arrangements, systems, tools, and work instructions
- Coordinate PMO-led activities including annual budget planning and schedule deep-dives
- Support reporting processes including schedule updates and variance identification
- Ensure timely production of high-quality functional month-end Performance Reports
- Implement effective lines of defense assurance process for Project Controls functions
- Lead, coach, and support senior Project Controls resources
- Drive innovation to make Project Controls activities "Digital by Default"
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in business analysis, accounting, finance, construction, engineering, or project management
- Track record as Project Controls Director on large infrastructure projects
- Experience across multiple Project Controls functions: cost control, estimating, scheduling, change management, and risk management
- Strong understanding of earned value analysis
- Experience managing teams in matrix structures
- Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders
Experience

- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication capabilities
- Analytical thinking and strategic planning
- Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent activities
