Location: Sizewell, Suffolk


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Recruiter to join our Sizewell team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry and be passionate about finding the right talent to help build amazing projects. 
As a Recruiter, you will work closely with our resourcing team to support the recruitment process. This includes advertising, mapping and approaching potential candidates. You will be responsible for screening and submitting shortlists to hiring managers and for ensuring a positive candidate experience (by providing timely feedback and updates.)


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers in order to fully understand job requirements and team dynamics. Conducts in-depth consultation with hiring manager to obtain an accurate and detailed understanding of the open position and the desired applicant profile (e.g. required & preferred knowledge, skills and abilities)
  • Responsible for controlling the recruitment cycle, ensuring that day-to-day recruitment activities are managed effectively
  • Proactive direct sourcing, advertising, networking and referrals, recruits and builds a pipeline of targeted prospective candidates
  • Reviews CVs for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements
  • Conduct in-depth telephone interviews to ensure each candidate is the right fit for the role before shortlisting for a face to face interview
  • Oversee the creation and updating of job descriptions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports
  • Provide advice and guidance to hiring managers
  • Work with manager on recruiting efforts which include job fairs and career days
  • Develop professional working relationships with 3rd party agencies as required


Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in the construction industry (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and recruitment software
