Opportunity for a Concrete Technical Lead (Sizewell C) working with The Civil Works Alliance on the Sizewell C Project,


The Alliance Concrete Project Manager will start the project in a strategic role based in London at the project 
office,  with  increasing  attendance  on  site  co-ordinating  the  Concrete  batching  plant  build  liaising  with manufacture and installers.

When the pants are fully operational and certified duties swill be generally supporting the Concrete Project 

Lead in all aspects of safety, quality, production, compliance with every operational step to site wide QRA concrete supply for SZC, specific duties include - 


• Validate and gain full technical approval of HPC Mix Replication for SZC
• Design, validate and gain full technical approval of SZC alternative sources 
• Work closely with TEGG and SZC SMEs as one Team during technical validations 
• Manage and collate technical reports with required interpretations 
• Technically move concrete designs from laboratory development to full scale operations 
• Become one of the SZC MCWs Concrete SME for all delivery technical advice 
• Liaising with staff at every level 
• Ensuring each stage of the project happens on time, on budget and to a high standard 
• Sharing regular progress reports with the client and stakeholders 
• Resolving any issues or delays 
• Working in an office or onsite. 
• Insight and motivation to support performance and capability development.
• Be  an  advocate  for  Sustainability  best  practise  and  innovation  in  your  function,  ensure  ongoing 
developments  &  improvements  are  made  to  maximise  the  benefits  to  the  business  &  celebrate 
successes.


Qualifications & Experience


Essential


• BSC Applied Geology / Concrete Technology (Institute) 
• Experience in a technical Nuclear environment


Essential


• Experience of managing a technical team in a nuclear culture environment.
• Compliance and Assurance for all steps of QRA concrete supply 
• Leadership skills, people management 
• Excellent organisational skills 
• Ability to carry out logical problem solving 
• Communication skills


Desirable 


• Experience working within Joint Ventures/Alliances.
• UK major construction experience
