We are currently looking for a Slinger to join a Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor working on the prestigious Sizewell C project. This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the UK's most important infrastructure projects.


Key Responsibilities:


Safely assist with crane operations, guiding loads to ensure safe and efficient lifting.
Prepare and sling loads for lifting and ensure they are properly secured before being lifted.
Maintain close communication with the crane operator and ground staff to coordinate lifts effectively.
Perform daily checks and maintenance of lifting gear and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Adhere to all Health and Safety protocols, ensuring that all lifting operations are carried out in line with company and site-specific procedures.
Follow risk assessments and lifting plans to ensure the safety of all personnel involved in lifting operations.
Report any issues or defects related to equipment and report to the site supervisor or relevant personnel.


Qualifications/Experience:


At least 5 years of experience in a slinger role within a construction or civil engineering environment.
Proven experience working with cranes and lifting operations, especially on large-scale projects.
Experience working on nuclear or energy-related projects is a bonus, but not essential.
Valid Slinger/Signaller CPCS (or equivalent) qualification.
Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations specific to lifting operations.
Ability to communicate effectively with crane operators and other site personnel.
BPSS clearance or the ability to obtain it (required for access to the site).
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team to ensure safe and efficient lifting.
