Specialized in civil engineering and engineering structures, Bouygues Travaux Publics is one of the world leaders in the fields of land use planning and sustainable infrastructure construction. Bouygues Travaux Publics is committed to diversity and is open to all talents.

Join Our Dynamic Team as a BIM/CAD Technician (Marine & Tunnel)

Are you ready to be part of a game-changing project? The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is proud to be supporting the development of Sizewell C, one of the UK's largest and most ambitious infrastructure projects. Sizewell C is a 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station set to generate low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes for the next 60 years, playing a pivotal role in our energy future.

We're looking for a BIM/CAD Technician (Marine & Tunnel) to join our Digital Project Delivery Team, based at the SZC Project Office in London, with occasional site visits. This is your chance to make an impact on the digital transformation of a key national infrastructure project. You'll be implementing BIM strategies and working closely with a team of professionals dedicated to ensuring the success of Sizewell C.

In this role, you'll:

Implement the BIM Execution Plan using 3D and 4D modelling software to manage design reviews, clash detection, and model management.
Support the development of the Alliance Common Data Environment (CDE), promoting best practices in both graphical and non-graphical data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, driving innovative solutions in digital project delivery.
Champion the use of cutting-edge technology such as BIM, GIS, and 5D modelling, ensuring that the project's digital information is delivered with excellence.
Work closely with stakeholders, helping them navigate information management processes across the project lifecycle.

To thrive in this role, you'll have:

Strong experience with BIM software (Bentley, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360), and ideally some background in 4D and 5D modelling.
Proficiency in GIS and an understanding of COBie asset requirements.
A collaborative approach, with the ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders under pressure.
NVQ Level 3 and demonstrable experience in a similar role, plus a commitment to further professional development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about digital delivery and eager to contribute to the success of a landmark project that will shape the UK's energy landscape for decades to come.

Why Join Us?

For more than 60 years, nuclear power stations in the UK have been quietly keeping Britain fuelled with massive amounts of home-grown energy.

Our teams up and down the country are proudly continuing to serve the nation – but they also have an eye on the future.

EDF is leading the UK's nuclear renaissance with the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C and plans for a new power station at Sizewell C in Suffolk.

Nuclear power is the most reliable, low-carbon energy source currently available to the UK. EDF is playing a key role in the development of nuclear sites, while Hinkley Point C will provide low-carbon electricity to meet 7% of the UK demand. The project is already making a positive impact on the local and national economy as well as boosting skills and education.

We’re not just building new nuclear power stations. We’re developing careers, upskilling generations and creating thousands of employment and apprenticeship opportunities across a variety of skills areas.

It takes a special kind of person to work in the nuclear energy industry and although we have thousands of them there’s always a need for more.

Our industry has a mind-boggling range of opportunities and more jobs, and in more places, than you might think. But it’s also an industry which is changing.

We’re a responsible business and proud to be Britain’s biggest generator of zero carbon electricity. With size, age and experience, we believe we can do even more.
