Location: Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk (onsite 5 days a week)
Contract: Permanent, full-time.
Salary: circa £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits
Benefits include:
Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays.
Bonus: Up to 5% annual bonus.
Pension Contributions: Defined Contribution Pension Scheme with up to 7.5% employee contribution -15% employer contribution.

About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of complex network projects. Reporting to a Project Manager, you will assist in managing the full life cycle of contracts or work packages, from engineering and procurement through to construction and commissioning.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Support planning and delivery across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning activities.
Assist in managing costs, risks, schedules, and change control using Earned Value tools.
Engage with stakeholders and maintain effective communication across teams.
Contribute to process improvements and project efficiencies.
Support management of contractors, consultants, and advisors throughout large, complex projects.
Demonstrate success in managing/developing:
Engineering design, contract and field execution strategies for project delivery
Multi-discipline EPCM project
Procurement and management of complex contracts
Control of costs; risk; schedule and change and proficient in the use of Earned Value tools
Close out of commercial claims and the associated negotiations
Essential Skills & Experience
Project management skills including commercial management, scheduling, and risk assessment.
Ability to interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience in managing multi-discipline EPCM projects and complex contracts (NEC or FIDIC).
Knowledge of CDM Regulations and project management frameworks (APM, PRINCE2).
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience of managing contractors, consultants, and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects in a regulated environment, including NEC or FIDIC contracts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project or P6, and document control systems (ACONEX, ASITE, ProjectWise).
CSCS card - required.
Desirable:
Project Management or Planning qualifications.
Experience in water, foul water, electrical, IT, FM, or client-focused project management.
Degree in engineering, construction, physics, or related field (chartered status).
