Apprentice Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor (HSW) (Sizewell C)

As an HSW Apprentice, you'll work closely with project teams and safety professionals to help maintain high standards of health, safety and wellbeing across our sites.
You'll have the opportunity to:
• Support site inspections, audits and safety tours
• Assist with risk assessments and hazard identification
• Help investigate incidents, near misses and accidents
• Prepare reports and maintain safety records
• Support the delivery of site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Promote positive health, safety and wellbeing behaviours
• Assist with behavioural safety initiatives and campaigns
• Help monitor and analyse health, safety and environmental performance data
• Support the development and review of safety procedures and documentation
• Build relationships with project teams, contractors and stakeholders
Every day will offer new learning experiences and opportunities to develop your professional skills.
What You'll Learn
Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll develop practical skills including:
• Conducting workplace inspections and monitoring activities
• Identifying hazards and supporting risk control measures
• Supporting incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collecting, analysing and reporting safety performance data
• Delivering engaging presentations, inductions and toolbox talks
• Applying Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems
• Providing advice on safe working practices and company procedures
• Managing and maintaining accurate safety documentation
Desirable Qualifications
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
Experience
• Genuine interest in Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environmental Management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Commitment to safe and healthy working practices
Desirable:
• Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure or a related environment
• Awareness of health and safety principles and safe working practices
