ADT Operative (Sizewell C)

Main Duties:


- Operate articulated dump trucks to haul materials to and from designated areas.
- Conduct daily pre-start checks and report any defects or issues.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and adhere to all safety procedures and site rules.
- Work closely with supervisors, excavator operators, and ground crews to coordinate movements.
- Load and dump materials in a safe, controlled manner.
- Follow designated haul roads and maintain proper speeds and spacing.
- Keep the truck clean and free from debris to ensure safe operation.
- Record operational information as required (loads hauled, fuel used, hours worked).
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks (greasing, fluid level checks, tire inspections).
- Report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents immediately.


Requirements:


- Valid articulated dump truck operator ticket/license (e.g. CPCS, NPORS,).
- Understanding of machine capabilities and load limits.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and hazard awareness in high-risk work zones.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in outdoor conditions, including heat, dust, and rough terrain.
- Previous experience operating ADTs in construction, quarry, or mining environments (1+ years preferred).
