We are currently seeking Engineers for our client to be based at Sizewell B Power station.


They are seeking to increase their team and will be interested in speaking with Engineers with Mechanical, Electrical, C&I backgrounds.


Main duties will include:

 

  • Working on projects across the station including plant life time extension plans.
  • Intermediate level waste projects.
  • Working in radiological controlled areas.
  • The Engineer will be responsible for maintaining systems. They will apply engineering principles to solve mechanical problems, ensuring product functionality, safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct tests on mechanical systems to validate performance and safety standards. Document results and implement improvements as needed.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve failures and issues in systems and products.
  • Work closely with electrical engineers, project managers and other departments to ensure system integration and functionality.
  • Propose and implement design and process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, or improve safety.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality controls.


Candidates will need to be security vetted prior to starting commencing employment.


The role will be site based 5 days per week.

Qualifications:

 

  • Candidates will need to be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Previous nuclear experience would be an advantage.
