Opportunity for a Construction Engineering Lead working with Balfour Beatty on the Sizewell C Project,


The Sizewell C (SZC) project requires a Construction Engineering Lead to manage and coordinate construction engineering for the Enabling Works and Earthworks portions during the delivery phase. The role is site based to ensure Engineering Delivery Excellence through adoption of engineering processes, procedures and best practice, and ensuring engineering staff are suitably trained and experienced to deliver right first-time site engineering.


Main Duties : 

 

  • Engineering Delivery Excellence - Right First Time - safety, quality, programme
  • Engagement with Pre-Construction teams to finalise the methods engineering for execution on site.
  • Construction  Engineering,  including  Trials,  Temporary  Works,  Setting  Out,  Surveying, Quality Management. 
  • Ensure  Inspection  &  Test  Plans  are  in  place  and  implemented  including  assurance  of materials and workmanship. 
  • Oversight  of  supply  chain  engineering  performance  including  offsite  fabrication  and manufacturing 
  • Role in Digital transformation - embedding technology, tools, systems etc for construction delivery.
  • Oversight of data capture on site for performance and quality records


Qualifications : 

 

  • Civil engineering degree
  • Chartered Engineer
  • Temporary Works appreciation
