We are seeking a confident, professional, and polite but assertive Receptionist to join our Ipswich Head Office team. This role is central to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-managed site. While you will not leave the reception desk, you will play an active part in monitoring site activity, enforcing compliance, and ensuring visitors and deliveries follow the correct procedures.


Main Duties:


Provide a warm and professional welcome to visitors and callers.
Monitor CCTV throughout the day to remain aware of activity in the yard and on-site.
Liaise with Security and SHEQ to ensure compliance with PPE, visitor sign-in, and site safety rules.
Act when issues arise by promptly notifying the relevant colleagues.
Coordinate with Marshall to manage all deliveries.
Ensure delivery drivers park in visitor bays to sign in, follow the traffic plan, and use goods-inward bays for large deliveries.
Manage meeting room bookings and support secretarial/administrative tasks (typing, correspondence, filing, stock control, etc.).
Oversee post, deliveries, and franking duties.
Maintain a clean, organised, and professional reception area.


Requirements:


Minimum of 2 years' recent UK experience in a similar role.
Full UK driving licence (advantageous).
Professional, approachable, and confident in dealing with people at all levels.
Polite but assertive when enforcing rules and standards.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proactive and observant, able to spot issues and act quickly.
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite.
